Part 1 - Start of the Cannonball Run

July 17, 2023 Prior to starting our Cannonball Run, I knew that the trip would be a massive undertaking. However, I definitely still underestimated how massive . As previously stated , the trip would entail nearly 4,500 miles of driving over a 10 day period. Day 0 (Thursday, July 13) - Flight from Atlanta to Newark Two words could be used to describe how I felt on the morning that we flew out: excited and anxious. My excitement came from the past year of planning this trip, while my anxiety was primarily around whether or not I had bitten off more than I could chew and what our rental car would actually be. While I was wrapping up my half-day of work on Thursday, my smile was ear-to-ear and I definitely looked like a kid in a candy store. Those were the longest 4 hours of work I have ever had. Final Preparations for the Cannonball & Sneak Peak at the Next Project

July 11, 2023 Final Preparations for the Cannonball Run After nearly a full year of planning (11 months to be exact), the (revised) Cannonball Run  is only a short 48 hours away. At this point, all hotels are booked, the rental car is booked, and various activities are planned throughout the trek. At this point, it's a matter of anxiously waiting to hop on a flight to New York while looking forward to seeing views like these again (these photos were from previous cross-country travels in my old GX470)! As you can probably imagine, there have been some interesting questions and comments from friends and family as I have been preparing for the Cannonball Run. Here were some of the highlights that stuck out: "How is this a vacation?" I think the term "vacation" is subjective.
